Polished and Blued 747 Turbine

This turbine came out of a General Electric CF6 engine that was mounted to a Boeing 747. After propelling the "Queen of the Skies" millions of miles around the world, we felt it fitting to turn this beautiful piece of engineering into a true statment art piece. The 36 solid titanium blades were cafuly sanded, polished, and blued in a process taking over three hours each. The turbine itself weighs 736 lbs (just over 1000 lbs with stand)
